چکیده

Three years of hourly COD and NH4+-N measurements for two full-scale integrated constructed wetlands (CWs) treating secondary effluents from sewage treatment plants (STPs) were used to quantify the proper sampling frequency (SF). The modified coefficient variation (CVm) average rate (VRa) calculated monitor dynamics annual performance, respectively. It was found that (1) under CVm 5%, VRa VRm intervals (SI) can be set as 1.19 h, 526.5 110.1 respectively, SI should 4.51 66.3 26.8 respectively; (2) 10%, monitoring 11.92 1401.7 233.5 30.73 139.3 50.5 Therefore, meet need dynamic changes in data, 4 h SIs recommended evaluation, when it is necessary consider operation maintenance costs at same time, 11 30 methods proposed this study could provide reference improve management evaluation level CWs.

Monitoring and modelling of free water surface constructed wetlands

Integrated water management has encouraged the construction of small scale wastewater treatment plants to treat residual discharges. For this study, six free-water-surface constructed wetlands have been monitored from September 1998 till April 1999 to determine their operational efficiency. These natural systems have been constructed by the Flemish Land Authority (VLM) in Wontergem. Design load...

Constructed Wetlands for Water Treatment: New Developments

Constructed wetlands (CWs) are currently regarded as established eco-technologies to treat water pollution. Although considered near-natural systems, they are totally engineered solutions for which research has been actively developed over the past decades. This paper provides a brief meta-analysis on the latest scientific publications in the field and an overview of the special issue focused o...

Constructed Wetlands and Other Approaches to Protecting Water Quality

The toxicity and estrogenicity of a final treated municipal effluent was examined while flowing through a constructed wetland in north-central Texas, USA. Fish data were collected, and a baseline wetland characterization was performed to assess wetland treatment potential for these effluent properties. Vitellogenin (VTG), gonadosomatic index (GSI), hepatosomatic index (HSI), and secondary sexua...

Potential of constructed wetlands in treating the eutrophic water: evidence from Taihu Lake of China.

Three parallel units of pilot-scale constructed wetlands (CWs), i.e., vertical subsurface flow (VSF), horizontal subsurface flow (HSF) and free water surface flow (FWS) wetland were experimented to assess their capabilities in purifying eutrophic water of Taihu Lake, China. Lake water was continuously pumped into the CWs at a hydraulic loading rate of 0.64 m d(-1) for each treatment. One year's...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
